Here is a photo of what I like to call my “key to the city.” This is my Supra DisplayKEY which I use everyday to access vacant properties for home showings with my clients.
The device works as an access tool that can open up electronic key lockboxes that are part of the Supra System. Used for vacant properties or for sellers that wish to grant access to their home during their workday, this is a secure system organized and utilized by the Greater Las Vegas Association of Realtors (GLVAR.)
Compared to mechanical key lockboxes, the electronic system provides superior quality and security. Each time a property with the Supra lockbox system is accessed, the transaction will record the date, time and a unique identifying code that is assigned to the Realtor that has entered the property.
I’ve used this system for many years and consider this to be one of my most important tools of the trade. During the first quarter of 2015 the GLVAR will be doing a system conversion and operate their electronic lockbox systems through SentriLock. SentriLock is a security solutions provider that’s actually owned by the National Association of REALTORS. From what I hear, there will be a few more technical features available that should allow me to incorporate them into my suite of smartphone real estate applications.
